Bus Stop

 

Bus stops are often filled with monotonous waiting. People sitting, silence, stillness. People come from around the city to wait, to pause, in one spot to then be transported out to various locations.

 

By definition waiting is not a monotonous event. Waiting is anticipation, “One who is eagerly impatient”. Waiting is action paused for a moment, before it resumes. People are dynamic and active, moving, rushing, and then they stop, they sit, still, then they go moving, rushing, dynamic and active once again.

 

The bus stop in form is a frozen moment of action kept in waiting and anticipation. One object is forcefully extruding from the ground and striking a second object starting a reaction, and then it stops, and waits...
